File # 2016-8293

Investigators with the Southeast District Major Crimes Unit are assisting the Vernon RCMP in the investigation into the disappearance of Ashley Marie Simpson.

On April 30, 2016, the Vernon RCMP initiated a missing persons investigation, due to the unexplained disappearance of Ashley Marie Simpson, who was reportedly last seen on April 27th.  Ashley has not yet been located or seen.

Ashley’s typical communication with friends and family has ceased without explanation and investigators suspect that Ashley’s disappearance may very well be the result of foul play. The RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit are now assisting the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP in this investigation. This investigation is currently very active and a dedicated team of investigators are working daily on this file.
